A Divided Congress Confronts A Rising Cyberthreat: HuffPo

This upcoming week (4/23-4/27) has been dubbed cybersecurity week.  That's because CISPA is going to makes its way to the floor of the House.  Expect a lot more coverage of the bill, with about 500 more articles poorly explaining how it eviscerates your privacy rights.

Republicans fear strict cybersecurity standards for businesses.

Democrats (including the Obama administration) want cybersecurity standards for critical infrastructure.

Both sides want some form of information-sharing.

Civil liberties groups hate the information-sharing provisions because they feel they are too broad and may allow private companies to hand over your e-mails to the NSA.
