This caught my attention yesterday . . .
DARPA tweeted a link to this National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) article on how wireless, implanted sensors are broadening the range of brain research. From the article:
A compact, self-contained sensor recorded and transmitted brain activity data wirelessly for more than a year in early stage animal tests, according to a study funded by the National Institutes of Health.
I’ve been interested in this stuff for a while because I believe neurosecurity will one day replace cybersecurity. Indeed, if computers are vulnerable, and we’re implanting computers in our bodies (and brains), then we’re introducing new risks to the equations.
Anyways, I also found it interesting that DARPA tweeted this . . . seems to indicate that they too are interested in this.
