Proposed Amendments to CFAA: The Volokh Conspiracy

On 1/20, Orin Kerr wrote for The Volokh Conspiracy and posted a document suggesting changes to the CFAA in the aftermath of the Aaron Swartz prosecution.  Notably, Kerr: “(1) eliminat[ed] liability for exceeding authorized access, (2) tighten[ed] the felony thresholds throughout the statute, and (c) eliminat[ed] several sections of the statute . . .”
