On 11/12, Andrea Shalal-Esa reported for Reuters on how defense contractor Lockheed Martin is dealing with cyberattack. Notably, the article cited Lockheed’s VP as saying that 20% of threats directed against the company are advanced persistent threats, with “[t]he number of campaigns [increasing] dramatically over the last several years.” Considering that Lockheed has been successful in defending its own networks, hackers have moved on to targeting Lockheed’s suppliers in an effort to combine enough disparate information to attack Lockheed directly.
